WLS – The single fin template is exactly what I used back in the 1970’s and early 80’s. I’ve always preferred a reasonably upright fin so as not to have the board overpowered by too much rake creating stiffness when turning off the top of the wave. I’ve always preferred the fin to have a neutral feeling and to enhance the rail to rail transitions.

WLSS – Side fins for single WLS. The small side fins are used on all of my single fin boards to create and enhance a positive grip at high speeds. They need to be kept small so as no to interfere with the single fins water flow and dominance.
